Jipyong Established “Response to Investigation of Virtual Assets TF”

On July 18, 2023, the “Act on the Protection of Virtual Assets Users, etc.” was enacted and is expected to be enforced on July 19, 2024, and the Virtual Asset Joint Investigation Team (with its Head Mr. Jungyeol LEE who achieved the 33rd Judicial Research and Training Institute) was launched at the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office on July 26, 2023, which is expected rapid changes in the regulatory environment surrounding the virtual asset industry.<br />

JIPYONG has launched the "Response to Investigation of Virtual Assets TF" in order to meet the needs of clients in responding more effectively and systematically to investigations and disputes related to virtual assets, with expert attorneys who have diverse and extensive experience and relevant networks, including Mr. Seung Dae PARK who was served as the Deputy Chief Prosecutor II of the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors’ Office, Mr. Jae Seung LEE who obtained the Supreme Court Decision that Bitcoin is an asset that can be confiscated while serving as the prosecutor/director of the Cybercrime Investigation Division in the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, Mr. Young Kyu YUN who served as the member of the Financial Development Committee in the Financial Services Commission (FSC) and the Disciplinary Review Committee in the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS), Ms. Mi Jung KIM who served with FSS for 10 years, Mr. Jung Han YOO who is currently the Private Advisory of the Board of the Financial Regulatory Reform Committee in the FSC and the  Member/ Coordinator of the Financial Dispute Mediation Committee in the FSS, Mr. Yong Woo SHIN who served as the Deputy Director of the Ministry of Science and ICT and as the Legislative Researcher of the National Assembly Research Service (NARS), Mr. Jong HEO an attorney specialized in intellectual property rights, Ms. Sun Yeol JUNG who worked as an IT consultant at Samsung SDS after graduating from KAIST University, etc. <br />
