For 16 years, Jae Seung LEE served as a Senior Prosecutor at the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office and as prosecutor at the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, where he was involved in investigations, prosecutions and trials involving tax, finance, real estate, felony, drug, and sexual harassment, etc.
In 2015, Mr. Lee was named a “Specialized Prosecutor in Defamation” by the Supreme Prosecutors' Office. When he worked as a legal counsel for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2012, he introduced the 'special period for self-surrendering for defendants in IMF-related cases subject to suspension of prosecution' to help overseas Koreans extend their terms of stay in foreign countries.
Mr. LEE is also an expert in telecommunications, as he worked as the Director of the Cybercrime Department of the Supreme Prosecutors' Office. During his tenure, his team obtained the Supreme Court Decision that Bitcoin is an asset that can be confiscated. He was also involved in investigations and prosecutions of various cybercrime cases related to hacking and cryptocurrencies and handled tasks related to international cooperation for criminal investigation.
