Mr. Jong Yun Kim is a foreign attorney who was admitted to the New York bar in 2001. He worked as an in-house counsel at Samsung C&T Corporation, Trading & Investment Division until 2015, where he had accumulated deep and diverse experiences over 25 years in various fields such as corporate legal matters, compliance, cross border transactions, investment, financing and large project businesses, etc.

He personally oversaw at the scene the legal issues related to the consignment management project involving Kazakhmys Corporation in Kazakhstan, one of the biggest copper mines and smelters in the world, from the beginning in 1995 and until the end of the project in 2000. After being appointed as an executive and the general counsel in 2010, he participated in establishment and execution of mid- and long-term corporate strategies for sustainable growth of the company.

Based on such expertise and experience, he serves as a member of the International Finance Committee, ICC Korea and an export advisor for Small & Medium Business Corporation under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and regularly lectures at the Korea International Trade Association and KOTRA Academy.
