Deok Jung SON

Mr. Deok Jung Son is an attorney at Jipyong’s Shanghai office and his practice mainly involves advising on corporate, M&A and cross-border investment matters.

After being admitted to the Korean bar in 2013, Mr. Son started his legal career as a judicial researcher at Gwangju District Court and thereafter, Gwangju High Court. Mr. Son was the first ethnic Chinese to be admitted to the Korean bar. He has since been utilizing his Chinese background to conduct a variety of advisory and litigation work for numerous Chinese companies regarding their foreign investments, M&A, cross-border trade and taxes during his time at Yeyul LLC and law firm Seungjeon.
