JIPYONG LLC and DUROO Sign MOU with Environmental Daily to Respond to Environmental Issues

On December 1, JIPYONG LLC and DUROO have sign an MOU with Environmental Daily to respond to environmental issues.

As countries are declaring net zero emissions targets, Korea has recently declared its goal of carbon neutrality by 2050, following China and Japan. In order to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, Koreans need to change the paradigm of producing and consuming goods, which would lead to a huge impact on the industries including manufacturing, construction, and services. Such change would cause various issues that require legal measures and policies.

With its Green New Deal TF and Digital Economy Group, JIPYONG has made its best efforts to respond to issues related to the Korean Version New Deal and provide legal services. DUROO has engaged in many activities based on its legal expertise in public service such as human rights and social economy, etc.

Through the MOU that JIPYONG and DUROO have signed with Environmental Daily, South Korea’s only environmental newspaper established in 1993, the three institutions will cooperate with each other by providing legal/policy-level strategies for various environmental issues such as climate change, sustainable development, and resource circulation to achieve common environmental goals.
