Chang Wook MIN

Chang Wook MIN is the Head of Compliance Team at JIPYONG ESG Center who primarily focuses on various matters related to ESG and human rights management. His expertise encompasses various social issues such as labor relations, occupational safety, health, serious accidents, human rights, and supply chain management. Mr. Min has advised major companies on building a compliance system that can detect, prevent, and respond to the relevant issues at an early stage.

Mr. Min joined JIPYONG's Litigation Group in 2012 and built up his competence in resolving issues in various disputes. Especially, he has shown outstanding performances in the litigation cases such as illegal dispatch, dismissal and wages, prohibition of job transfer, dispute over management rights, violation of the Occupational Safety and Health Act, breach of trust and embezzlement, education disputes, maintenance projects, state compensation claims, etc. Mr. Min also successfully represented clients in high-profile litigation cases to obtain the Supreme Court’s decision to quash and remand the lower court’s decision and the Constitutional Court’s decision of unconstitutionality. Based on his extensive experience and in-depth expertise in dispute resolution procedures, Mr. Min provides the highest legal caliber and accurate advice on risk management to our clients.

Mr. Min also participated in various legislative and policy projects requested by the government or public institutions in which he researched on the role of the government and the market. In 2019, he further proceeded to the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Public Policy Master’s Program (MPA), where he studied economic inequality, the future of work, business and human rights, etc., and graduated with the “Best Thesis” award for his thesis titled “Inequality in the Korean Labor Market: Dual Structure and Labor Income Gap” He is currently focusing on ways to drive sustainable and inclusive growth in the private sector.
