Jipyong / Jipyong Institute for Law & Policy to Publish “Understanding and Responding to the Congressional Legislative Process”

On September 15, Jipyong and Jipyong Institute for Law & Policy published the “Understanding and Responding to the Congressional Legislative Process.”  
 
In order for law and policy to develop our society, we need to live with law, and policy needs to be organizationally connected to law in terms of constitutionality and the rule of law, which will be ultimately realized through legislation. 
 
This book has been prepared based on knowledge and experience of the legislative process and legislative reality by Mr. Jin Kwon KIM who has had over 20 years of congressional legislative experiences, JIYPNG attorneys Mr. Chang Wook MIN, Mr. Yong Woo SHIN, Ms. Woo Yeon KIM, and Ms. Kyeong Ran KWAK who have experience as a legislative policy advisor and legislative researcher, Mr. Won Keun PARK, the representative of Strategy n Research who provides legislative and policy data, and Mr. Chun Hee LEE, the expert advisor of Jipyong Institute for Law & Policy, and 7 others. In particular, it is organized to help readers understand the process through specific contents and examples of the legislative process of the National Assembly, and to prepare active and proactive responses to the legislative process by realistically tracking the legislative process and responses from the perspective of institutions, companies, organizations, and citizens who are interested in the legislation of specific bills. 
 
The table of contents is mainly categorized as ▲ Introduction; ▲Legislative Bills and Proposals; ▲ Deliberation and Resolution of Standing Committees;  and ▲ Deliberation and Resolution of Plenary Session and Transfer of the Government. 
 
In the preface, Mr. Kong Hyun LEE, the chairman of Jipyong Institute for Law & Policy, stated that “Now, people are beginning to pay attention to the content of the laws that govern our society, and that people are expected to follow,” and continued “I hope that this guide to the legislative process will serve as a valuable compass for those who want to actively participate in the legislative process in our diverse society.”
