On August 28th, Jipyong LLC (“Jipyong”) signed a memorandum of understanding with Czech law firm PRK Partners, aiming to expand its legal services and network in the Central and Eastern Europe. The signing ceremony and joint seminar were held at the 26th Fl. conference room at Jipyong HQ.
PRK Partners, established in 1993, is a prestigious law firm with over 30 years of experience providing comprehensive legal services across the Central European region. The firm operates offices in Prague, Ostrava (Czech Republic) and Bratislava (Slovakia).
Through the MOU with PRK Partners, Jipyong expands its network to deliver prompt and accurate legal services to Korean companies operating in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as those interested in entering and investing in the region. In particular, the recent selection of a Korean company as a preferred bidder for a nuclear power plant project in the Czech Republic highlight the growing mutual interest between Korea and the Czech Republic, fostering new business opportunities. The signing ceremony was attended by Jipyong’s Managing Partner Ji Hyung KIM, along with Senior Foreign Attorney Seung Min LEE, (Head of Global Business Group) and Partner Cheol JEONG (Head of Central & Eastern Europe), as well as PRK Partner’s Managing Partner Radan Kubr and Partner Martin Kriz.
Following the MOU signing, Jipyong and PRK Partners co-hosted a seminar titled the “Czech Seminar” at the auditorium on the 3rd floor of Jipyong's headquarters. The event opened with a welcome address from Managing Partner Ji Hyung Kim, followed by a presentation by Min JUNG, the head of BI Group at Jipyong’s Management Consulting Center, on “Macroeconomic Trends and Major Industry Outlook in the Czech Republic.”
Radan Kubr, a Managing Partner at PRK Partners, then presented on “Incentives for businesses investing in Czechia” and Martin Kriz, a Partner at PRK Partners, provided insights into “Overview of Employment Law in Czechia,” offering strategies to help investors understand the economic benefits and effectively manage the potential risks of investing in the Czech Republic.
