Andrew J. PARK

Andrew Park is a Senior Foreign Attorney at Jipyong LLC. His prior experiences include serving as the Korea Office Managing Partner of the largest international law firm, as well as serving on the firm’s management committee and in other leadership roles.

Mr. Park is uniquely positioned to counsel clients on today’s national and cross-border transactions. Having practiced in the US and internationally, Mr. Park combines his knowledge of the laws of various jurisdictions and his understanding of the nuances of doing business in the East and the West, to successfully counsel clients and to close deals.

Mr. Park’s practice is multi-disciplinary and includes international commercial transactions, such as acquisitions and joint ventures, as well as general corporate counseling. He also counsels and advises clients on antitrust, anti-dumping, labor, and intellectual property matters. His clients include automobile manufacturers, electronics and chemicals companies, banks, and major fashion houses.

Mr. Park served as Chair of the Intellectual Property Rights Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce. In this role, he advised officials from the US Department of State, the Office of the US Trade Representative, and the US Embassy in Korea. Mr. Park is also an active panelist/judge at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and served on both the INTA’s Internet Committee and the Domain Disputes Committee.

  • Confidential client: Negotiated the terms of and established an international joint-venture company and subsequently represented the JV company in the negotiations and eventual acquisition of a US-based John Deere multi-business unit.
  • Turner Construction: Represented the US construction company in connection with the negotiation of the terms of a project management/construction management agreement for Korea’s first skyscraper.
  • Appointed as a WIPO panelist/judge and rendered over 120 decisions to date.
