Si Mun KIM

Mr. Si Mun Kim began his career in public service at Korea Railroad Corporation. After moving to the KFTC’s General Affairs Division and Office of Director for Planning & Budget, Mr. Kim worked on personnel, planning and adjustment, and budget-related matters. He worked on case handling and policies at the Daejeon Office, the Seoul Office and the Anti-Monopoly Bureau, and assisted with decision-making at the plenary session and chamber meetings on cases involving collusion and consumer transactions at the Office of the General Counsel.

Specifically, Mr. Kim accumulated extensive experience on applying competition law as he conducted ex-officio investigations on unfair internal trading and unfair trade practices in the finance and the medical sectors at the Anti-Monopoly Bureau. At the Daejeon Office and the Seoul Office, Mr. Kim accumulated experience in KFTC enforcement across a wide range of sectors as he handled reported cases and conducted ex-officio investigations on subcontracting, collusion, unfair trade practice, and franchise cases. At the Office of the General Counsel, where Mr. Kim assisted with decision-making at the plenary session and chamber meetings, Mr. Kim became an expert on KFTC law enforcement trends and latest decisions.

Since joining Jipyong in 2018, Mr. Kim has been advising clients based on the wealth of experience he has accumulated.
