Mr. Beom Hee Kim graduated from Seoul National University (B.A. and M.A. in Engineering) and passed the Korean Bar Examination in 1997. Since 2000, he has been advising and representing clients in all areas of intellectual property (IP) law, including patents, trade secrets, trademarks, designs, and copyrights, as well as in IT-related matters such as software, internet, telecommunications, broadcasting, and gaming. Mr. Kim has previously served as Legal Counsel to the National Research Council of Science & Technology (NST) and its 23 affiliated research institutes, Vice President of the Korea Intellectual Property Lawyers Association (KIPLA), Director of the Korean Patent Bar Association, Vice President of the Intellectual Property Community of the Seoul Bar Association, and Expert Appraiser for the Korea Copyright Commission.

Mr. Kim is widely recognized for his exceptional ability to elucidate complex technical issues for judges and investigative authorities. Leveraging his extensive experience in advising on and litigating disputes across diverse industrial technology sectors, he frequently delivers lectures to corporations, universities, government agencies, industry associations, bar associations, and LAWnB. His presentations are consistently commended for rendering intricate topics accessible to non-specialists.

In 2009, Mr. Kim was distinguished as the leading intellectual property lawyer in “70 Leading Specialist Lawyers of Korea,” published by The Seoul Shinmun. He has been featured in numerous prominent media outlets, including Korea Economic Daily, Seoul Economic Daily, The Law Times, and Electronic Times. He was also recognized by Legal Times as the “Lawyer of the Year” in 2019 and has been named the “Intellectual Property Lawyer of the Year” for eight consecutive years since 2017.

In addition to his role with JIPYONG IP, Mr. Kim also serves as the head of the Jipyong Technology Center, established in 2025. Drawing upon decades of experience advising companies of varying sizes across multiple industries on technology-related legal matters and disputes, Mr. Kim is committed to delivering an elevated standard of service in technology-related corporate management and dispute resolution.
