Joon Hyuk LEE

Mr. Joon Hyuk Lee is a Partner in the Finance Group. He has specialized in real estate finance since embarking on his legal career in 2001.

Mr. Lee’s main practice expertise involves real asset and development project investments through vehicles such as REITs, REFs and PFVs. He regularly advises on a wide array of property sectors including domestic and overseas commercial offices, retail stores, warehouses, hotels, housing facilities, and rental houses, as well as urban environmental regeneration and development projects. His practice encompasses investments through blind funds, funds of funds and REITs, and financings through listings.

Mr. Lee holds a B.Sc. in Engineering from Seoul National University, an LL.B. from Seoul National University and completed advanced coursework at Konkuk University Graduate School of Real Estate Studies.

He is a member of the Korean Bar.

  • Advised on purchase and sale of real estate properties through funds or REITs including Eulji Twin Tower, KDB Life Insurance Tower, Pangyo 6-4 block
  • Advised E Kocref CR-REIT on its listing
  • Advised on purchase of Gangchon Owners Golf Club
  • Advised on numerous foreign real estate investments including purchase of an Amazon warehouse
  • Advised on investment through REITs in connection with numerous unsold apartments built by GS E&C and DAEWOO E&C
  • Advised AIM and KNHC (Korea National Housing Corporation) on approval of an asset-management company under the Real Estate Investment Company Act
  • Advised on BTO and BTL projects for dormitory buildings of Korea Polytechnic University, Konkuk University, Kangnam University, and Dankook University
