Jipyong's Finance Group provides advice to and perform litigation for diverse financial companies such as financial holding companies, banks, securities companies, asset management companies, insurance companies, card and capital companies, venture capital, private equity management companies and savings banks.
In particular, Jipyong's Finance Group renders comprehensive legal advice on large-scale domestic and international real estate development projects and financing related financial transactions for infrastructure and energy projects as well as ships and aircraft leasing. We have successfully advised on ABS, ABCP and ABL related matters and asset securitization, and derivatives including ISDA based on receivables denominated in RMB.
Furthermore, loans to foreign companies or local subsidiaries of financial institutions, loans from foreign financial institutions, syndicated loans, loans related to the acquisition of stocks or bonds issued by domestic (kimchi bond) and foreign companies, and issuance of FRN in foreign countries are also performed by us. In particular, Jipyong's Finance Group provides in-depth services related to overseas expansion of Korean financial institutions (opening of representative offices, branches or local corporations, and local M&A) through our 8 branch offices in Southeast Asia.
Since the introduction of the Private Equity Fund in Korea in 2005, Jipyong's Finance Group has been involved in legislation and revision of the law, contributing to introduction and establishment of various types of PEFs (overseas resource development PEF, corporate financial stability PEF, corporate restructuring PEF, corporate partnership PEF, etc.). In addition, we have recently participated in the Capital Markets Act revision TF to rationalize the regulation of private equity funds, providing effective advice to Korean investors on investment in overseas PEF and HF, as well as overseas investments and advancement of Korean private equity funds.
Based on valuable experience in enacting and amending the Capital Market Act, we provides accurate and practical legal advice on the interpretation of regulations and rules related to the development of new products and protection of investors. Jipyong has served as legal advisor to Korea Financial Investment Association, KRX and Korea Securities Depository and now provide legal advice to the Financial Supervisory Service on the capital markets.
