A senior foreign attorney (Russia) at Jipyong’s Corporate Group, Mr. Seungmin Lee advises on general corporate, cross-border investment, M&A, overseas construction matters and matters relating to Russia, Central Asia, Mongolia and North Korea. He is also serving as the head of Jipyong’s Moscow office.

Mr. Lee has extensive experience in advising Korean companies on their entry investments in and transactions with Russia and Central Asia. Notable cases include: advising a Korean financial company on the acquisition of equity in a Russian coal company, advising a Korean financial company on the sale of its shares in a bank in Kazakhstan, advising a Korean trading company on the acquisition of equity in a Russian forest development company, advising a Korean power generation company on the establishment of a joint venture and execution of projects with a Russian state-owned company, advising a Korean construction company on the construction of a high rise building for the headquarters of Russia’s largest state-owned company, advising a REITs established by a Korea asset management company on legal due diligence of a real estate property (apartment) in Kazakhstan, advising a Korean company on due diligence related to its loan financing of a hotel in Russia, and the execution of financial agreements and recovery of investments, advising a Korean airport corporation on the sale of its equity in a Russian airport, and advising a Korean logistics company on the collection of credits during the bankruptcy process in Russia. In addition, she successfully represented clients in various disputes. Her notable cases include: representing a Korean construction company in a dispute related to repairing defects and representing a Korean asset management company in a dispute related to a loan agreement.
